So, after all this weird fear that I was
maybe having ghost pains in my uterus,
that it was all in my head, it turns out
I may have an infection causing inflamation
causing pain.
they took a culture and found very elevated
white blood cells - fighting an infection.
doctor says: let's put you on antiobiotic.
I say: what kind of infection.
doctor: we don't know but we'll put you on
an antibiotic that will take care of anything.
me: shouldn't we figure out what kind of infection
to use a more specific antibiotic instead of
a wide spectrum one? I've been antibioticked
to death since I was 14 - I'd rather know what
it is.
doctor: it is another expense to do the culture.
me: expense to whom? I have insurance. I might
as well get this done while I have it.
doctor: ok.
So I had to disrobe again for another Q-Tip
up my Ya Ya, but at least they'll (hopefully)
figure out what that infection is. I need data.
Is it just me or are doctors really quick to
give women antibiotics for whatever ails them,
even without knowing what ails them???
