Just found a new magazine on the stands.
I think they are only on their 2nd issue and
are bimonthly so it is no wonder I haven't
seen them before.
Conceive magazine is "celebrating the
creation of families" - and at first it sounds
religious.
But the publisher - Kim Hahn - talks about
how her business partner and co-founder
of the magazine, Rob Clarkson, had been
trying with his wife to have a child for
over two years. The idea of a magazine
about infertility resonated and they felt it
was their "purpose" to pursue creating it.
The one thing I didn't find in the issue that
I just purchased is information on miscarriage.
I've already queried them and hope they
will be open to miscarriage articles vs.
infertility articles.
Fingers crossed.
I bought this issue as well. It wasn't too bad, however I was pretty horrified by the story of the guy and his wife who just "knew" they were going to have trouble conceiving and they got pregnant--and it stuck!--on the first try. I mean come on, if I want to hear about people who get pregnant right away and stay that way, I can go talk to any one of my obnoxious, uber-fertile neighbors.
Hope you are doing okay.
