There's an article in NEWSWEEK, Feb 7, 2005, called
"The Miscarriage Maze" and I was hoping
it might have some new information in it,
reveal something that I haven't heard
already, explore the depths of this
taboo topic, but I was let down.
The article is nothing more than a plug for a
new book - "Coming to Term" by Jon Cohen -
which was actually recently recommended to
me by a Babyfruit blog reader.
But the information in the article was so cursory,
so basic, that it was a disappointing waste
of space in the magazine and on its web site.
With that kind of readership, the least they
could do was actually research the article
and tell us something we haven't heard yet.
I'm not looking for the all-knowning answer,
the solution to all our infertile problems. But I
am looking for deeper insights, more anecdotes,
alternative ideas about treatments and coping.
It's all so plain vanilla 1980's information,
yet again.
