I haven't been in touch with my dreams for a while.
I used to keep a dream journal and the more you
write them down, the better you remember them.
Last night, I had a weird dream.
Something about a sculpture/artist who was in town.
He was talking to me and placed a lightweight
metal sculpture/headdress on my head then
took my hand and skipped with me through a
fair or convention of some kind.
We were talking to several women and I mentioned
my problems with miscarrying.
"Oh, that isn't very common," he said.
"Yes it is," I insisted and proceeded to ask these
other women - total strangers - "Have you ever
miscarried?"
Each had some version of a miscarriage story
to tell.
"See," I said, "It is more common than you think."
"I can fix it," he said and then this is the weirdest
part. He took my feet in his hands and began
pulling at the skin on the top of my feet. He pulled
and pulled until it began to stretch. Then he folded
it over and began sewing the folded flesh in place
right where my toes meet my foot.
It didn't hurt. I just watched, fascinated at this
flesh pulling, folding and sewing process.
"It has to do with making more space, giving
more room for things to move around and breathe,"
he said.
"In my feet?" I asked, dubious.
I had to walk around the convention barefoot
with the folded, sewed up part exposed. It really
didn't hurt at all.
Eventually, I cut the threads to undo the folds.
My feet returned to their normal shape but I
felt like there was space within me - more
room, more air.
I have no idea what that means so I looked
this up on a few dream dictionaries.
Dream Moods
To see your own feet in your dream, symbolizes your foundation, stability and sense of understanding. It signifies your need to be more practical and sensible. Keep both feet on the ground. Alternatively, it represents mobility, independence and freedom. Perhaps you have taken a step in the right direction and are contemplating your goals or your next step. The sole of the foot may be a pun of being or feeling like the only support of some person/situation. In particular for the people of India, to dream of the feet may symbolize divine qualities since the feet are considered the holiest part of the body.

Basic beliefs. Direction in life. You should mend your ways in life otherwise you will suffer from your foolishness.
Dream Lover
For some people, dreaming about feet can be a very sexy dream. Besides sexual connotations, the dreams can represent your ability to move forward in life. Dreams with feet in them point to how well you are balanced and grounded.
Sexy foot dreams, eh? Well, this wasn't sexy.
It was curious and bizarre. I think it may have
to do with moving forward. Mending - interesting
word. Balanced, grounded - but sewn together...
What do you think?
