I have the same aversion to Baby pageants but I do want to see if Baby Eggs has what it takes to do a few catalogues or comemrcials. I just have to submit to a few agencies. It is hard though and her photos often don't do her beauty justice...or maybe it is my poor photography skills.

I am NOW ashamed to admit that I entered my little one in a pageant at 13 months. Her outgoing spirit, her smile all melted away is one horrifying minute on stage. I have not entered her in pageants since. A year ago she was spotted by a "scout" while we where vacationing at Disney. We have been getting into the print/commercial arena. That is so much different than the bitch mothers of the pageant circuit. What I will pass on to you, is that if your beauty has the "look" that is bookable of the moment a polariod will do. Stay away from the people that try to sell you composites, headshots, portfolios, etc. The truth of the matter is a full body shot, and a head shot with current facts figures is all you need. My daughter's agency paid for everything else. We head to San Fran mid September for a major kid clothing line campaign.

I read that article a while ago. Very funny. People tell me how much my baby looks like a TV baby, a Gerber baby...but I don't think we'll try to take that anywhere.
