People are using the Internet to connect to information, but more importantly, to connect with people. And yet so many people seem totally confused and overwhelmed about the right way to connect through social media channels.
I'm always amazed at how when I return to the basics about a tech topic like social media, it resonates so much with people. I almost didn't submit this blog post to my editor at Web Worker Daily because I thought "Gosh, everyone already knows this stuff."
Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but ultimately all of us can stand to be reminded over and over how no matter the technology, returning to the basics is a great idea even after you think you've "mastered" something. There is always room for more learning or for refreshers and reminders.
The other side of the coin is that many people don't necessarily know the things those of us who are immersed in daily know. We have to get out of our darn fishbowls and realize the rest of the world is still wondering where to begin. It is up to those of us who know a little something to share it with others, put it out there. So I submitted this post and am just amazed with the kind and positive response.
What do YOU do to really connect through social media?
